Anxiety and Stress Management

Support for understanding anxiety and stress, and for learning practical, evidence-informed strategies to manage them.

About this service

Anxiety and stress are natural human responses, but when they become overwhelming or persistent they can affect sleep, work, relationships and enjoyment of life.

Sessions help you understand how anxiety works for you and build skills to respond to it differently.

Who may benefit

  • People experiencing persistent worry, nervousness or panic
  • Those feeling overwhelmed by work, study or life pressures
  • People noticing physical signs of stress such as tension or poor sleep

What to expect

We begin by understanding your experience of anxiety or stress — its triggers, patterns and impact. Sessions may include psychoeducation, practical coping strategies and techniques that can be practised between sessions.

Consultation format

Sessions are typically 50 minutes and are available in person at the clinic or online through a secure video platform. The frequency of sessions is agreed together, based on your needs and preferences.

Frequently asked questions

Sometimes small, optional practice tasks are suggested, as practising skills in daily life can be helpful. These are always agreed with you.

Psychological support is individual; experiences and outcomes vary from person to person.
